A historic residence full of character
This majestic building, which served as the city’s municipal police headquarters for several decades, was once the private mansion of the Marquis de Maleyssie’s family. It has preserved the charm of its past and its unique atmosphere.
Built in the 19th century in the Second Empire style, like the theatre just steps away, this residence tells the story of a family that left its mark on the city and its era.
The project was created by two residents of Chartres, already owners of the Moulin de Ponceau : Stéphane Wenz Charrier and his husband Mickaël.
These hospitality and fine dining professionals have imagined a warm, joyful, and colourful destination, open seven days a week, from breakfast through to dinner.
Renowned interior designer Maguelonne Walewska is overseeing the renovation, revealing beautiful spaces that blend historic charm with contemporary touches, transforming this new city destination into an exclusive place to experience.
